Friendship bracelets

Water day!

Birdhouse!

Hats
Four weeks of day camp down! We had a huge number of campers and workers out sick for most of this week. As stinky as it is to have campers out, it was a little nice to have smaller numbers for more one-on-one time with the kids (pictured above). This week I learned about some imaginary friends, family histories, imaginary turtles, hopes for special powers, tooth loss histories, dogs, and much much more. The first picture above is Miles, the hand model, showing off his friendship bracelets. The guys and I have worn our bracelets all summer; but just passed them out to the kids this week. I think the bracelets will be great reminders throughout the year of all God did this summer. I also posted a picture of one of the kindergartener’s birdhouses she made in the woodworking class–I am always so impressed with all kids can do! Notice the birds she drew on the top of the house. The final picture is of one of my friend’s kids wearing Mark’s hat. Mark and Miles have made caps (particularly backwards caps) popular at day camp–they are the “must have” of all the kids–if you can wear Mr. Mark or Mr. Miles’ hat, you are legit. I am excited about getting some good rest this weekend, and finally finishing my first book of the summer!
